Running a Blog with Just an iPhone
Write and Deploy with Claush
From idea to 10-language deployment, all done without ever opening a PC. A new style of blog management — review your draft in the Downloads folder, approve it, and let Claush handle the rest.
Introduction
What tools do you use to write a blog post? You open your PC, launch an editor, preview in the browser — that workflow probably feels like the obvious way.
With Claush, the entire process fits on a single iPhone. From brainstorming to publishing, you never touch a PC.
The Workflow
Step 1: Brainstorm with Claush
When a topic idea comes to mind, start by chatting with Claush.
"I want to write an article comparing VPS vs. home servers. What structure would work well?"
Claush organizes the idea and suggests an outline through conversation. No PC, no editor needed — just chat.
Step 2: Have the Draft Saved to the Downloads Folder
Once the structure is set, ask Claush to write the draft.
"Great, go ahead and write that draft and put it in the Downloads folder."
Claush creates a Markdown file in ~/claush-downloads/. You can read it directly in the "Downloads" tab of the Claush app on your iPhone.
Reviewing in the Downloads Folder
The file appears in the "Downloads" tab of the Claush app. No need to open a separate editor — just read it right there on your iPhone.
Spot something to change? Just tell Claush. Once updated, check the file again. Repeat until it's right.
Step 3: Review and Request Revisions on iPhone
Open the file in the Downloads folder and read through it. Anything that needs changing, just tell Claush directly.
"Make the third paragraph a bit more concrete. And add a comparison table at the end of the summary."
Claush updates the file. Repeat as many times as you need.
Step 4: Once Approved, Order Commit and Deploy
"Looks great! Go ahead and translate it into 10 languages and deploy. Notify me on Slack when it's done."
Claush takes care of everything from here.
- Generate Markdown files for 10 languages
- Commit and push to GitHub
- GitHub Actions runs Hugo build + Firebase deploy automatically
- Notify on Slack when complete
Put down your iPhone and do something else — when the notification arrives, the post is live.
Key Points
Here is how responsibilities are divided between you and Claush at each phase.
Phase-by-Phase Roles
Ideation: Describe a topic → Claush proposes an outline
Writing: Say "write it" → Claush generates the Markdown
Review: Read in the Downloads folder → Claush applies revisions
Deploy: Say "deploy it" → Claush translates, commits, builds, and notifies
The PC was opened — not once.
User Testimonials
"I just read the draft in the Downloads folder and told Claush what to change. No more opening a separate editor."
"I asked for a 10-language deploy and relaxed on the couch until the notification came. I couldn't believe the whole thing happened on just my iPhone."
Benefits
Review in Downloads Folder
Read your draft directly in the app. No separate editor or file app needed — reviewing and requesting changes flows seamlessly in one place.
Draft Completed Through Conversation
Just describe your topic. "Be more specific" or "add a comparison table" — the article gets polished through natural back-and-forth.
10-Language Deploy in One Order
Say "translate and deploy in 10 languages" — translation, commit, push, and Firebase deploy all happen automatically.
Slack Completion Notification
Claush waits for the deploy to finish, then notifies Slack with success or failure — nothing slips through unnoticed.
Everything on iPhone
Whether at home on the couch or on the move, your entire blog operation runs on a single iPhone. No PC required.
Summary
This use case is perfect for anyone who wants to run a blog without the overhead of opening a PC. Commuting, relaxing on the couch, or winding down at night — blog management fits into any spare moment.
All you need is an iPhone + Claush + a VPS (or a repo with GitHub Actions already configured).
